How To add a FREE password manager to your XP or Vista Computer

We all have visited websites that invite you to create a private account with a private username and password. Even the SaddlebagLakeResort.net website does this. Many of us use the same username and password for all of these websites. Say you create an account on a website called sleazeball.com. Do you really want to give these people the same username and passwowrd that you use for your bank account. Of course not, In fact you should have a different password for every website. But, Wait A Minute:

How do you generate a secure password for each of these sites?
And, how do you keep track of all of those passwords?

Many people keep a master password file in some text editor like Microsoft Word. But then you need to look up the password every time you log into one of those sites. A much better choice is a FREE password manager such as RoboForm. The following instructions tell you how to get, download, and install RoboForm. The program comes with instructions on how to use it.

To download the Robo Form program click on the following link http://www.roboform.com/php/land.php?affid=goog4&frm=frame41&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=roboform_tm
Click on the Free Download button.
Save the install file in a new folder like C: \RoboForm
After the file is saved, navigate to c: \RoboForm and double click on the AIRoboForm-goog4 file.
Choose a language (usually en-English, and check the "I agree" box to accept the terms.), then Next, then Next, then YES
Finally you are asked to specify a MASTER PASSWORD to allow access to all of your data. Use a Password that you ARE going to remember. Notice that a New Roboform line is added to your Browser.
Now the Roboform program is installed and a box will pop up anytime a password is needed. If it is for an old website that you already have generated a password for in the past, you must look up this password manually the first time you log in. On subsequest login's, RoboForm will pop up a box showing the password it remembers, all you need to do is press OK. If this is a new site, you can ask Roboform to generate a new random password, or you can choose some password of your own. Either way RoboForm will remember that this password goes with the page you are on.

Now you are ready to enjoy a much more secure web browsing experience. The above program is FREE, but they do have a PRO version with even more features. Read about both and compare the features to decide if you need the PRO version. The FREE version will do all that most of us need.
